Motorcars Ltd has always "Supported the Troops" in one form or another over the years, and about a year ago, we started wearing "red shirts" on Fridays in a show of a company and personal expression of "Support for Our Troops". The number of our people wearing red shirts has steadily grown to the point where it is hard to not find a red-shirted member of our staff on Fridays.
During a recent "Support the Troops" BBQ we had here at Motorcars LTD (see Red Shirt Friday) red T-shirts were passed out for all who attended the event, showing our unity in supporting our troops. We decided to give other people in the country the opportunity to show their unity and support the troops. So we now have these specialy made "OOH-RAH" T-shirts for sell on our website with 100% of the proceeds going to the Houston Chapter of the Marine Moms.
Houston Marine Moms is a support group for family and friends of Poolees, Recruits and those serving in the United States Marines. In addition to supporting each other, they also support our men and women currently serving in the United States Military. Sending care packages, girl scout cookies, phone cards, bandanas with the 91st Psalm on them and other needed items to our troops on a regular basis.
