On pre-ABS Range Rovers, there are two types of CV Joints: an (A) type axle and a (B) type axle. They can be distinguished with the naked eye by the shape of the joint. The differences are noted below. |

"A" Type CV Joint Internal splines go all the way to the top. |
 |
"B" Type CV Joint Internal splines stop 1/2 inch from top. |
